By booking and using Edith Bankes Memorial Hall, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
General Information
Charitable Status: The hall is a registered charity managed by volunteers (the trustees) on behalf of the Northop community. Trustees receive no remuneration for their work.
Funding: Operational funds are generated through hall hire and fundraising, supplemented by a small maintenance grant from Northop Community Council.
Staffing: We do not employ a full-time cleaner or caretaker.
Operating Hours: As the hall is situated in a residential area, all events must conclude by 10:30 PM to respect local residents. Evening events may be extended to 11:30 PM with prior approval from the trustees. The building must be vacated, lights turned off, and doors locked within 30 minutes after the agreed time.
Licensing: The hall holds a PRS Licence but does not have a Television Licence or a licence to sell alcohol. Users may bring alcoholic beverages into the hall, subject to prior approval by the trustees. This information should be included in the booking request.
The Responsible Person The designated individual managing the activity/event is responsible for:
Arranging hall access and security.
Serving as the primary contact for booking and billing.
Communicating event details to attendees.
Implementing fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
Ensuring basic food hygiene standards are met.
Informing attendees of welfare facilities (e.g., toilets).
Managing recycling and waste disposal.
Returning the hall to proper condition for the next user group.
Recycling Policy In line with Flintshire County Council's recycling guidelines, all users are expected to support our recycling efforts:
Food Waste: Dispose of in the small green bin; spare bags are available in the cupboard.
Plastic and Cans: Bins are located in the kitchen, foyer, and main hall.
Paper and Cardboard: Use the bin in the kitchen or the blue bag on the wall by the kitchen door.
Please do not place recyclable materials in the general waste bin. If you produce more recycling than the bins can accommodate, please take it home to recycle. Privacy We collect your name, organization address, email address, and phone number to administer your booking and hall usage. Edith Bankes Memorial Hall may use your data to send information related to these purposes. We do not share your data with any other organization. The information is stored securely and accessible only to our officers and staff. By using our facilities, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
